Liked everything The best location in Marshalokk. Most beautiful. Penthouse apartment is just perfect. Staff will solve all your problems. The shop is nearby, the cafe is nearby, the beach is nearby. And don't read about St. Paul's Beach. Yes, of course he is. But you don't need special shoes for the beach in Marsaxlokk. The bottom is sandy and perfect. And we dragged such shoes onto the plane like fools. If you want to see real Maltese village life, stay at Quayside.

That there were only 3 nights at Quayside. That's definitely not enough!

perfect for a relaxing holiday to watch the world go by..friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us

The owners were very welcoming and couldn't do more for us the apartment had everything we needed and staff were available to answer our questions - the location was perfect for a relaxing holiday and having the balcony was the highlight of the apartment and the extras worth the small price we will book again for next year...we fell in love with the place.

I can't think of anything that we didn't like - couldn't fault anything.

13th April 2022 - Christine (Austria) - Quiet but central living in a picturesque ambience

The accommodation is in a historic, picturesque building with old beamed ceilings and high ceilings on the harbor edge of Marsaxlokk. In the courtyard shared with other guests, you could have a barbecue, have dinner or soak up some sun. At night it is absolutely quiet in the apartment and (if necessary) pleasantly cool. We stayed on the ground floor. The equipment of kitchen, bathroom and bedroom is very clean and practical. Also in the courtyard is a small house with washing machines and dryers. About 300m away is a small sandy beach and also the starting point for a beautiful hike that first leads uphill through fields, then along the cliffs to Marsaskala. Marsaxlokk's many good eateries are all within walking distance.

16th October 2021 - Tomaz (Poland) - I recommend!

Excellent apartments in a great location. I used it for the second time after a few years break. I especially recommend those with a small balcony overlooking the bay, located on the first floor of the building. Despite only two floors, there is an elevator in the building. Clean, comfortable, well equipped kitchenette. Air conditioning. Comfortable bed, large shower cubicle, good wifi. Very nice and nice owner. Nice welcome. The facility is located on the quay of the climate fishing port. Close to numerous restaurants.

I have no negative comments about the apartment. During our stay there was some renovation work going on independently by the owners on part of the waterfront, but we were on the island at the time so it didn't matter. After the renovation is complete it will be even better than it is.

16th June 2019 – Helen (UK) - Beautiful apartment
We stayed in Michelino and we loved this apartment. Jeff was an excellent host, he organised a return airport taxi and a hire car for us. The apartment is an old Maltese house that has been beautifully renovated and extended, with many original features. The courtyard garden was lovely for an evening drink before heading out to one of the many fish restaurants. There is a little sandy beach less than a 5 minute walk away, perfect for a swim after a day out exploring. We would definitely return to these apartments.

6th June 2019 – Melanie (UK) - Amazing. Loved it. Come here if you're planning a trip to Malta.
We loved everything about this place. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating, the location was great - with the bay less than 30 seconds outside the front door and within a 14 min drive to Valetta. The apartment was beautiful, full of character (beautiful tiled floors and beams), very clean and had good facilities (hob, microwave, hairdryer, tv with Netflix). The little courtyard outside was great for when we cooked our own meals too. We would recommend this place to anyone looking to come to Malta.

2nd June 2019 - Jenny (Australia) - Beautiful and peaceful
Michelle was great, she had put some bread, cheese, meat and tomatoes in our room as we did not arrive till late in afternoon so was good to have something to eat. Booking in was really easy. The apartment was right great, so near to the water, could just open the door and sit outside and take in the views of the boats, fishermen etc. Beds were comfortable, shower was great. Beautiful garden out the back to sit in and take in the sun. A real bonus was the laundry room with washing machine and dryer. Loved the position was so quiet for a relaxing break. Our flight was not till later in the day so could leave our luggage, and were offered the use of a bathroom when we returned to freshen up or have a shower. Would highly recommend this apartment.

1st May 2019 – Claudia (Latvia) - Лучшее место для спокойного отдыха после поездок по острову.
Чудесная Мишель! Отличное расположение, пляж, атмосфера, красивый вид, инфо центр напротив. Туристы все время фотографировали двери, мальтийские котики заглядывали тоже. :-) Хорошие кафе, рестораны. Уютно, чисто, достаточно полотенец и посуды. Очень приятно было найти немного еды по приезду.

18th April 2019 - Ilka Kuschke (Germany) - Place to be - Quayside fantastisch
Eine fantastische Lage direkt am Port. Was will man mehr. Wir haben hinter der orangenen Tür gewohnt und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Bilder geben genau das wieder wie das Apartment auch aussieht. Einchecken konnten wir Nachts ganz unproblematisch mit einem Code. Wir hatten unsere Zahnbürsten vergessen, diese wurden uns umgehend besorgt. Der Service ist großartig. Wenn man nach Marsaxlokk kommt und das sollte man, wenn man die Idylle des Fischerdorfes, die tollen Häuser und Plätze und die tollen Restaurants erleben will. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt hier und waren bei Abreise sehr traurig. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder ins Quayside. Was Besseres gibt es für uns nicht.

8th April 2019 – Penelope (UK) - Couldn't be better
I loved the 'warehouse' look of the exterior of Quayside, as did many tourists who were frequently taking photos of its beautifully painted doors and facade. Situated on the actual quay, alongside a whole host of waterside restaurants, opposite a tourist office, AND a fabulous vending machine that will refill your water bottle at 30 cents for 1.5 litres. Brilliant. Had the best oysters EVER at an eatery nearby. I thought that the living area would be dark due to the solid wooden doors, but once both opened, the amazing heavy transparent screen was dropped, making the room light, and bright. It also made it difficult for passers-by to see inside. Great! Everything I could have wanted was contained in my apartment. Everything. The wonderful Michelle, who was in attendance all day behind the brown door, was full of help and advice, and always with a wonderful smile. Luckily I was shown around the upstairs apartments, and the two very swish penthouses (the latter with jacuzzis on their large roof terraces), which will soon be ready for rental also...very impressive! A modern lift is installed at the property also👍. I wasn't able to use the garden areas as it was not 'sitting outside' weather during my visit, but it was superbly presented, with the furniture, umbrellas and barbecue of a high standard, and immaculately maintained. Buses stopping nearby made travelling to other areas very easy, and all for 1.5 euros a trip. Popping up to Valletta was a doddle, as it was to Marsascala and Pretty Bay. A tiny bakery a street away, was also a mini-supermarket. I needed go no further. There are many places to sit and stare at, and beyond, the beautifully painted fishing boats, and watch fishermen tending to their nets before setting off. I loved my week at Quayside and Marsaxlokk.

A true representation of the real Malta with friendly locals and varied cuisine to suit everyone.
The bed was very comfortable. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. Good air conditioning. Describe it as compact and bijou, laundry facilities were great.There was a welcome pack of basics in the fridge including bread, milk etc. A lovely welcome from Michele who ensured our stay was a happy one. When the TV broke a new one appeared the same day, The location was superb overlooking the harbour. Good bus service if needed with the tourist information nearby. The village is bustling and full of great restaurants especially with the freshly caught fish.

Idyllisches Fischerdorf. Super Unterkunft. Nette Gastgeberin = Gerne wieder
Die Lage war perfekt. Super Aussicht; sehr süßes und idyllisches Fischersdorf. Die farbigen Türen machen die Unterkunft zu etwas besonderem. Klima im Schlafzimmer sorgte für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt und Schlaf. Die Gastgeberin Michelle war eine sehr sehr hilfsbereite und freundliche Gastgeberin.

Séjour excellent, appartement très charmant, je recommande
Super emplacement avec petit jardin privatif à partager. Accès à tous les restaurants et à Saint peter's pool à pied. Accueil impeccable. Tout équipé, il y a même une machine à laver à disposition.

Great place to stay for a couple of days, secure, clean, central, quiet, we loved it !!!
Die Unterkunft war phantastisch! Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, absolut zentral gelegen, ein tolles Wohlfühlklima mit den uralten Fliesen und dem Naturstein, alte Balken, mit netter Terrasse hinter dem Haus, Waschmaschine kostenfrei vorhanden, W-Lan ebenso, Sehr zu empfehlen, zudem war nahezu jederzeit ein Ansprechpartner vorhanden, bei etwaigen Problemen, die es aber nicht gab.

Lovely apartments
Stayed here for 5 nights . Absolutely beautiful. The lady who checked us in Michelle is so lovely. The apartment is very clean with everything you could need. Close to all the restaurants right on the harbour.

Vsec mi je bila lokacija, zunanji izgled prav tako v nastanitvi sami vse super. Zelo se mi je dopadel skupni vrt kjer je tudi moznost uporabe žara. Moznost pranja oblacil zastonj. Pa tudi osebje zelo prijazno!

Sehr schöne gepflegte Fereinwohnung mit allem was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub braucht . Sehr nette Gastgeber . Toller Garten der auch zum Grillen einlädt . Klimaanlage ,Safe ,WLAN ,Zwischenreinigung /Entreinigung ,2 mal wöchentlicher Handtuch Wechsel auch bei Wunsch die Bettwäsche . Auch ist eine Waschmaschine vor Ort .einfach Toll

Lovely Place in Marsaxlokk
We had a lovely week long stay at Quayside Apartments. The apartment was very clean, had great amenities, it was nice to be able to cook a bit, make tea in the evening and do our laundry! The location of the apartments is fantastic, within walking distance to many restaurants, and a small store for grocery items. The view of the harbour is fantastic, and the market on Sunday is right outside your door. (be sure to ask for tips where to park Sat. night so your vehicle isn't blocked in Sunday morning!)

Friendliness, professionalism and research of perfection from the owners and all the staff. The charm of the apartments, clean and fully equipped. The location on the port and middle of fishermen village makes you feel a part of it. The absence of touristic industry makes it real. Recommended for discovering the real friendliness of Malta's people.

Accueil à la fois sérieux et chaleureux. Décoration sobre mais très soignée en préservant le caractère typique du lieu. Jardin très agréable pour manger le jour comme la nuit. Très propre.

"Marthese invited us at the airport (!), arranged taxi service to the place - contact through all reservation process was kind and very quick. Then we come to the apartment and met Mike - our host. Mike is very friendly andhelpful: we come late but he took care about filling our fridge with basic products to have dinner. On the next day he took as for a ride with his car around entire village - shown best beaches, restaurants, shops etc. He arranged us rental car (with delivery to door, with very affordable price!) and gave very useful directions, informations and suggestions - and was helpful and caring. We just stayed in the quayside apartments for 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay. A nice spacious interior with AC, wifi and a full kitchen. Close to the water, restaurants and everything in town. Would recommend these apartments.
