Found in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, Malta is a small island (with a population of roughly 400,000 inhabitants) and one of the culturally richest countries in the world. Malta boasts a warm climate, numerous recreational areas such as sandy beaches, rocky beaches, live theatre, casinos, nightclubs, bars and restaurants as well as a number of architectural and historical monuments including nine UNESCO World Heritage Sites (the Hypogeum, seven Megalithic Temples as well as our capital city Valletta which was constructed under the authority of the grandmaster Jean Parisot de Vallette in 1566 AD).
All of these qualities make Malta a highly attractive and immensely popular tourist destination.
